The short version

Who runs this game

Kami Ninja Run is made by Leveric, an Australian operator. This policy explains what information the game handles, why, and who to contact if you have a question. It covers the web game at kamininja.com and the iOS app.

What is stored on your device

Kami Ninja Run keeps its gameplay data locally on your own device using your browser's storage (localStorage), or the equivalent app storage on iOS. This includes:

None of this is sent to us. It lives on your device and stays there until you clear your browser data or delete the app. We never see it.

Signing in with Google for the worldwide top 10

You never need an account to play. If you choose to sign in with Google, it is only so we can put a permanent, sign in record next to your score for the worldwide top 10 leaderboard. Signing in uses Supabase Auth, a third party authentication service, which processes your Google email address and display name to create your account.

When you submit a score while signed in, your name, score, coin count and level are saved to a Supabase Postgres database in a scores table tied to your account. The worldwide top 10 shown on the game's home screen is built from this table and is publicly readable by design, because the whole point is to let every player see the current best runs. Only your chosen display name, score, coin count and level appear publicly. Your email address is used to run the sign in itself and is never shown on the leaderboard.

No ads, no tracking, no analytics

Kami Ninja Run does not run advertising, does not use tracking pixels, and does not include any analytics software development kits. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Where the game's assets come from

The music, videos and images used in the game are served from our own domain, kamininja.com. The only outside services used are Google Fonts, to load the Titan One display font, and Google Sign In through Supabase Auth for the optional leaderboard account. Neither of these is used to track you across other sites.

The iOS app

The iOS version of Kami Ninja Run plays entirely as a guest. There is no account creation step in the app itself, and the same local, on device storage described above applies.

Deleting your data

Clearing your browser's site data (or deleting the app) removes everything stored locally on your device straight away. If you signed in with Google and want your account and leaderboard entry removed from our database as well, email us at hello@kamininja.com and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page. We recommend checking back occasionally if you have concerns.
